The iPulse was launched as a daily publication in September of 2005 and was presented as a two-page broadsheet on 11 X 17 paper. The paper was, as it still is, printed in-house. At this time the publication ran four days a week. Beginning in Fall 2007, the iPulse underwent a redesign, becoming a four-page publication that is created and distributed five days a week. More than 200 issues are currently distributed on a daily basis, in addition to several special edition papers created throughout the year. Fall 2008 saw the launch of a new video initiative, and the LynnPulse broadcast show, in both a video and radio format, was born. In Spring 2009, the iPulse launched its new interactive and innovative Web site, providing newsworthy information to the Lynn community and international web audience at large.
