Meet the Press

Forwarding the university’s quest toward innovative, international and individualized learning objectives, the iPulse looks forward to continuously instilling these key elements in each publication. The iPulse is the daily heartbeat of Lynn University and is the premier connection to the more than 3,000 members of the Lynn community. It offers students the experience to be part of a team that works together to produce a daily publication.

This year the publication will broaden its reach through various mediums, including the launch of a new Web site.  The new website has integrated numerous social networking tools to take the iPulse to the next level of connectivity.  Through the new site, the publication will give  students the capacity of showcasing their work in as many places as possible.

As well as the addition of the new  Web site, the iPulse also includes radio programming. The new website showcases a  daily update of Lynn’s radio station and a 15-minute radio talk show every Friday at noon.  The talk show will discuss student issues on and around campus. The show is designed to be interactive and address student questions. The anchors on the production team will be producing segments to be featured on the LynnPulse show. These segments will be self-produced and cover topics of their choice.

The iPulse is excited about continuing its partnership with the Boca Raton News as well as commencing a partnership with WPTV NewsChannel 5 West Palm Beach. Students in the iPulse have the opportunity to have their stories and segments published on WPTV’s Web site. Due to increased interest from students not enrolled in the Online and Print Journalism class, this semester, the iPulse proudly announces its plan to become a student club.

Undergraduate and graduate students will now have the opportunity to participate in the iPulse. Members of the club will be able to write and contribute articles for the print and online publication. In addition, students enrolled in the class can be part of the production team. The club would serve as its own entity and will be in constant communication with the editors of the iPulse. Through the creation of the iPulse club, different aspects of student and community life will be covered. This will also allow students who have previously been a part of the class to continue their affiliation with the iPulse.
